For the weeks of January into February, Pastors Allen and Spencer preach a six-part sermon series;

“Stop at the Stop Signs: Entering God’s Gift of Rest”

What is Sabbath? Sabbath, God’s gift to us, is a time set apart to rest from work, worship God, tend to our soul, and bless others. The Sabbath is a both a gift and a command that God gives for our flourishing. “The spiritual journey begins with rest. Rest is essential to apprenticeship under Jesus. Because chronically exhausted, sleep-deprived, over busy people are not loving, peaceful and full of joy.” (John Mark Comer, Practicing the Way.)

Memory Verse: “Remember to observe the Sabbath day by keeping it holy.” (Exodus 20: 5)

Join us this January!

As we kick off 2025, we are going to spend the next three weeks focusing on strengthening our ASF community by spending time Sharing our Stories. The more we know about each other — our favorite things, our families, our faith — the more deeply we can connect in our shared time together.

So each week, we will have someone tell their story on the “Hot Seat.” We will also spend time in conversation with each other in Table Talk. And we promise we will give you more than three minutes to get to know your neighbor!
