Deacons

The Book of Order calls ordained deacons to a ministry of “compassion, witness, and service, sharing in the redeeming love of Jesus Christ for the poor, the hungry, the sick, the lost, the friendless, the oppressed, those burdened by unjust policies or structures, or anyone in distress” (G-2.0201). FPC Moorestown currently has 23 deacons (1 seat to be filled).

Deacons’ Application for Giving

We are asking all organizations who are requesting funding from the First Presbyterian Church of Moorestown to complete our Request for Funding application. The application deadline is December 31st. We will review all applications received in the New Year and communicate our decision regarding funding by mid-February 2025. The application is designed to be short and painless, but we do ask for you to be specific when it comes to your financial request and how the funds will be utilized.

Should you have any questions feel free to reach out to Wesley R. Allen, Associate Pastor, 856-235-1688 x101.

Serve With the Deacons

“Help each other in troubles and problems. This is the kind of law Christ asks us to obey.” Galatians 6:2

The FPC Moorestown Meal Train is a Deacons’ project responsible for developing a list of congregational volunteers to bring meals to individuals or families dealing with short-term illness or in need of care. If you would be willing to be such a volunteer visit our Meal Train sign up page. There is always someone who would be grateful for your support and prayers AND a soul warming meal!

Church Has Left the Building

Hosted this year by the Deacons, CHLTB offers a variety of projects that reach out into the community offering help where needed most.
