Joel Krott’s 50th Anniversary

I am a humble artist, molding my earthly clod,
Adding my labor to nature’s, simply assisting God.
Not that my effort is needed. Yet somehow I understand
My Maker has willed it that I, too, should have unmolded clay in my hand.
– Piet Hein

Psalm 150 “A Psalm of Praise”

Praise the Lord! Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heaven!
Praise him for his mighty works; praise his unequaled greatness!
Praise him with a blast of the ram’s horn; praise him with the lyre and harp!
Praise him with the tambourine and dancing; praise him with strings and flutes!
Praise him with a clash of cymbals; praise him with loud clanging cymbals.
Let everything that breathes sing praises to the Lord!

A Message to Joel from his Family

“To honor our heavenly Father on our father’s 50th anniversary of serving the congregation of the First Presbyterian Church of Moorestown through the gift of music.”

Dear Dad,

A life of privilege today is one that is often associated with listing personal achievements and acquiring numerous worldly goods, which, in the grand scheme of things, is temporary and insignificant. These things turn out to be short-lived and rather insignificant in the light of eternity. You have given our family a different perspective on what a “life of privilege” entails. At a young age, you taught us that God is paramount and central to true life. You and Mom provided us the most significant gift by helping us develop and grow our love for God. We now strive to share these lessons and perspective with our children.

Your dedication to sharing your God-given talent for music by providing meaningful worship to the larger family of First Presbyterian Church is a true blessing. You provide many opportunities for individuals to participate in worship, concerts, mission trips, and Bible studies. Through these measures, you give both youth and adults the ability to offer their best to God while further developing their relationship with Christ.

We appreciate the hours you have spent preparing works of music to foster an environment of worship and glory to God. This music has sown many seeds and, in God’s timing, planted His Word in many hearts. You strive to share and celebrate the gospel of the Good News of Jesus Christ through music whenever and wherever you are able. We noticed and learned from the times you ministered to the youth and adults needing a foretaste of God’s love, the way you shared God’s love with us.

Your dedication to service and strong passion for sharing psalms, hymns, and songs of praise has allowed us and many others the ability to hear and see a glimmer of God’s hope and glory in this world. You have exemplified a life of what it means to be truly privileged having Christ central and foremost in your mind and heart.

We are forever grateful and honored to have been a part of what God has done, is doing, and will do through the musical and spiritual talents He has enabled you to use at First Presbyterian Church of Moorestown.

One more thing…woof!

In Christ’s love,
Melissa, Carl, Kevin, Jen, Taylor, Sawyer, Andrew, Emma, Fischer, and Alex
