Youth Ministries at FPC

“Fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you…” 
2 Timothy 1:6

That is precisely what the youth ministry at FPC Moorestown is all about.  We are about the business of fanning flames.  Have you ever tried to start a fire in the woods?  You first gather dry kindling: small sticks, birch bark and dried brush, then you build a teepee or log cabin out of the kindling to allow for the flow of oxygen.  You take a match or lighter, give the dried goods a spark, let the fire spread and then you fan it into flame until it fully catches hold of the kindling.  Once you have a fire, you keep it going by adding larger, denser incendiaries to it.

We believe that every person is a gift of God and is gifted by God.  Our goal is for every youth  to know these two truths.  Our mission is to fan into flame the gift of God within each youth  by intentionally involving Christian men and women in their lives, who are committed to following Jesus as their Lord and Savior.  These leaders seek to instill the same commitment into our young people.  Like Timothy with his mentor Paul, we want every youth  to have a champion for them in their faith and life, who will encourage the spark of faith, fan into flame the gift of God and the fire to know Jesus and to make Him known.
